Balut is a duck egg that was incubated for 16 days and removed from the incubator for consumption. They are common, everyday snack in some countries in Southeast Asia particularly in the Philippines.Many people believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a delicacy and highly nutritious.

Put eggs in a pot and cover with cold water
Bring water to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Place the egg in an egg holder so that it is resting vertically. The rounder end of the egg should be standing up.

Crack the egg around the top by gently tapping your spoon against the shell.
Chip away pieces of eggshell.
Add a tiny pinch of sea salt and drink out the amniotic fluid.

Continue removing the eggshell.

Dip the stuff in the salt pepper and wine vinegar and enjoy.

Once the duck embryo is boiled, the bones become soft.
